Leadership
Vern Hughes - National Director
Vern has been a leader in the development of socially entrepreneurial thinking and activity in Australia since the late 1980s. He was previously Executive Officer of South Kingsville Health Services Co-operative Ltd, Co-ordinator of Hotham Mission’s Community Enterprise Project, and founder of the Social Entrepreneurs Network. 
Vern's fields of expertise include civil society and social capital, human services design, health and disability, credit unions and mutuals, re-inventing government and public policy innovation.

SEP's Community Finance
Summit will focus on financial services, products and projects which have a community base and a social orientation (e.g., savings, loans, credit, banking, micro-finance, superannuation, insurance, housing finance, venture capital and investment instruments). CLICK HERE for details.

Empowering Individuals and Families in the Human Services - a national Policy conference to explore public policy for an agenda of empowerment for individuals and families in indigenous communities, disability, mental health, aged care, youth, education, health care, community building and family strengthening.
